October Nightfright
Free hearse rides, a grave maze, live organ music, & more! But where can you find all of this? At the 234th Annual October Nightfright, of course!
It’s that time of year again—the air is crisp, days are short, the smell of leaves permeates the air, and spookiness is well underway. Of course, we’re talking about the annual October Nightfright: Pumpkinlight Cove’s
WHEN: 4:37 p.m. - 11:42 p.m.
WHERE: Historic district of Pumpkinlight Cove
TICKETS: Only $25/person (children under 12 are free)
As a long-standing tradition that’s steeped in the Cove’s spookiness and mystique, the October Nightfright promises fun for the whole family—providing everyone is not faint at heart.
The giant-bat-&-hairy-spider petting zoo is sure to be the first stop for children of all ages, with a complimentary photo opportunity included in the cost of each ticket.
And the hearse rides are always a huge draw considering they end at the grave maze, which is fun for children and parents alike.
Granted, the blindfolded gourd-carving contest is only for the bravest of mind. But it’s balanced with live organ music played by none other than Pumpkinlight Cove’s very own Frederik Von Cleaverton—one of just a few local celebrities within the world of classical music.
But that’s just the tip of the tombstone—there are many other attractions to enjoy, and merchandise will be available at multiple vending stations throughout the historic district. Plus, the entire event will be lit by the flickering light of jack-o’-lanterns, as an homage to the Cove’s founder, Rudyard Addams.

This fall, give your family the gift of haunting hijinks in the shadows: join us at our annual October Nightfright!
